A Family Great War Story
With the Great War so much in the media and in our thoughts at this centenary of the Armistice, I felt I needed to look at my past to see where it took me. Although I knew something about the people in the following story, researching their lives and associated events further, pulling all the strands together and writing it down proved fascinating. I love the way events and lives interweave to lead us to where we are now. Seeing the story written down enables us to see this interweaving much more clearly and it brings it to life, much more so than a set of interlinked names and dates on a family tree.
